North Boroughs Community Day

Join us for an exceptional evening of fun with our neighboring communities! Enjoy a variety of exciting events, including a 50/50 raffle, additional raffle drawings, and live music featuring Hot Weather Holiday. Food and refreshing drinks are available for purchase. The North Boroughs Community Day is set to take place on Sunday, July 6, from 6:00 PM until dusk at Avalon Community Park on New Brighton Road. We look forward to celebrating together!

Voting - General Election (Municipal Election)

General elections take place on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November. During these elections, residents of Pennsylvania cast their votes for various officials at the local levels, which include: county and local officials (in odd-numbered years), and judges and magisterial district judges (also in odd-numbered years). In those odd-numbered years, the November general election is referred to as a municipal election, as there are no federal or state offices on the ballot.

Kilbuck Township Municipal Building will be used as a polling site from 7:00 AM- 8:00 PM.

Memorial Day Parade

The 79th Avonworth Post 866 Community Memorial Day Parade is set for Monday, May 26, starting at 10:00 AM.

The parade will begin by proceeding to Church Avenue in Ben Avon, making a right onto Forest Avenue, and concluding at Lance Cpl. Patrick Kenny Field. Additionally, a service to honor all servicemen and servicewomen who lost their lives in defense of our country will take place at 11:30 AM at the Ben Avon Community Presbyterian Church, located at 7501 Church Avenue, 15202. Voting - Primary Election

In a primary election, voters from the Democratic and Republican parties choose the candidates they wish to represent their parties in the general election (Municipal Election) held in November. Pennsylvania uses a closed primary system, meaning that Republican voters may only cast their votes for Republican candidates, while Democratic voters may only vote for Democratic candidates. The candidates with the most votes will advance to the general election.

Dixmont Cemetery Community Clean Up Day

This community event will take place on July 20th, 2024 starting @10:00 AM. The end time will depend on when the project is completed. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Equipment (e.g. rakes, gloves, safety glasses, and shovels) will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own equipment or tools. This is a wonderful way to improve the community, so please spread the word! Thank you!

2024 North Boroughs Community Day and Fireworks

The 2024 North Boroughs Community Day is an annual event held for the North Boroughs for an evening of music, food, raffles, and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July holiday! Admission is free and there will be food, raffle baskets, and other items for purchase. If weather does not cooperate for June 29th then we have a rain date scheduled for August 31st!
